POSITION DESCRIPTION:
An entry level software engineer designs and develops complex, high tech, high speed systems containing both software and hardware components. He or she enhances system capabilities based on mission critical needs. Common tasks include software and system design, system deployment, system integration, on site customer support and troubleshooting, and requirements mining. An entry level software engineer works in changing environments that require good communication, time management, and troubleshooting skills.
An entry level software engineer often enhances the system’s capabilities based on customer needs. He or she designs, develops, engineers, interfaces, integrates, and tests complex hardware/software systems. An entry level software engineer is also responsible for accurately estimating assigned task in both time and cost.
An entry level software engineer tests multiple components to ensure all hardware/software components meet customer needs. He or she is proactive in detecting issues and ensuring product quality. He or she ensures discovered issues are documented and resolved.
An entry level software engineer supports multiple customers on site by troubleshooting problems and providing immediate fixes when possible. An entry level software engineer ensures deployments are configured correctly, optimal, and accomplishing customer objectives. He or she provides actuate information to customer questions.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Education: BS or MS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
Engineering Experience: 0-4 years
Clearance: Must be eligible for SCI level clearance. US Citizenship required.
